Clifton F. Coleman
(July 6, 1922 - January 18, 2012)
Funeral services for Clifton F. Coleman of Conway, Arkanasa, formerly of
Belmont, MS, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, at Lee Chapel in
Winona, with burial following in the Bethel Methodist Cemetery near Kilmichael.
Rev. David Bartlept will officiate the services.
Visitation will be at Lee Funeral Home on Friday, January 20, from 5:00 until
8:00 p.m..
Mr. Coleman died at North Metro Medical Center in Jacksonville, Arkansas, on
Wednesday, January 18. He was 89 years old.
Mr. Coleman was the son of the late Cleve and Bulla Yates Coleman and the
widower of the late Willie Mae Higginbotham Coleman. He was a retired
farmer and a Baptist. Mr. Coleman enjoyed working with farm animals, playing
dominoes, watching western movies, and talking about the good old days. In
addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Boyce
Coleman; grandson, Little Jerry Coleman; and a sister, Norma Coleman.
Survivors include six sons, Wayne Coleman of Belmont, Jerry Coleman of
Belmont, Jimmy Coleman of Belmont, Frank Coleman of Conway, AR, Ricky
Coleman of Jackson, and Roy Coleman of Toomsuba; one sister, Willie Lee
Green of Grenada; one brother, Earl Coleman of Belmont; fifteen grandchildren;
twenty-two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Coleman, Cliff Coleman, Roy Coleman, Frank
Coleman, Jimmy Coleman, Jonathan Coleman, and Wesley Reese.
