Janie Thompson
(July 10, 1961 - November 23, 2011)
Funeral services for Janie Thompson of Vaiden will be at 11:00 a.m. on
Friday, November 25, at Lee Chapel in Winona, with burial following in Sapa
Cemetery in Webster County. Rev. Danny Tompkins will officiate the
services.
Visitation will be on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time, at Lee Funeral
Home in Winona.
Mrs. Thompson died of heart failure at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in
Winona on Wednesday, November 23. She was 50 years old.
Mrs. Thompson was a Baptist and a very sweet person who was a true
friend to all. She was preceded in death by her father, William Jennings; and
a brother, Walter Jennings.
Suvivors include her mother, Betty Grice of Winona; her son, William
Thompson of Vaiden; three brothers, Willie Jennings of Winona, William
Jennings, Jr., of Jackson, and Wayne Whatley of Jackson; one grandchild;
and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Stevie Burrell, Kevin Evans, Dale King, Ricky Johnson,
Ned Clark, and Dustin Blankenship.
