Sarah Flippen Lafferty
(April 22, 1923 - September 2, 2011)
Graveside funeral services for Sarah Flippen Lafferty of Winona will be at
2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.
Rev. Rupert Ingram will officiate the services.
Mrs. Lafferty died of heart failure at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in
Winona on Friday, September 2. She was 88 years old.
Mrs. Lafferty was the daughter of the late Sam and Estelle Flippen and the
widow of the late Tom Richards and the late Delbert Lafferty. She was a
retired beautician and a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include one sister, Judy Brisendine of McCarley; one brother,
James Burdine Flippen of West Point; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital, P. O. Box 318, Memphis, TN 38104.
