David Lamar McDonald
(October 2, 1955 - January 1, 2012)
Graveside funeral services for David Lamar McDonald of Starkville,
formerly of Carroll County, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, at
Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County, with Rev. Reidis Nash
officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Oliver
Funeral Home.
Mr. McDonald died of pneumonia on Sunday, January 1, 2012, at
Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville. He was 56 years old.
Mr. McDonald was the son of the late Raymond Woodrow McDonald and
the late Lillian Louise Corder McDonald. He was also preceded in death
by two brothers, James Lawrence McDonald and Walter Ray McDonald.
Survivors include his sister, Annie Johnson of Gillett, Wisconsin; his
brother, Harold McDonald of Carrollton; and four nephews, Brandon
McDonald, Chris McDonald, Geoffrey McDonald, and Travis McDonald.
Pallbearers will be Richard Kappenman, Colby Land, Danny McCrory, Jim
Meriweather, Martin Price, and Gil Shaw. Honorary pallbearers will be the
staff and residents of Rolling Hills Developmental Home in Starkville.
