Stells Minyard
(October 6, 1917 - January 22, 2012)

Funeral services for Mr. Stells Minyard of Winona will be at 2:00 p.m. on
Wednesday, January 25, at First Baptist Church in Winona, with burial
following in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.  Rev. John L. Walker,
assisted by Dr. Chris Aldridge, will officiate the services.

Visitation will be at Oliver Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 1:00 until
1:45 pm.

Mr. Minyard died of heart failure at his home on Sunday, January 22.  He
was 94 years old.

Mr. Minyard was the son of the late J
ohn and Pearl Anna Nunley Minyard.
He was a retired rural mail carrier and a member of First Baptist Church
in Winona.  He was a
U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the
American Legion, the VFW,
and a life member of the Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife, Velma Minyard of Winona; one daughter,
Deborah Louise Minyard of August
a, Georgia; and one son, Phillip
Minyard of Memphis, Tennessee.


Pallbearers will be Ed Hammond, Richard King, John Meeks, James
"Smitty" Smith, Herschel Stidham, John Williams, and Harvey Swindoll.  
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the First Baptist Church Men's
Sunday School Class and the Lions Club.
