Barbara Rose Dunn Battles
(August 4, 1955 - December 19, 2011)
Funeral services for Barbara Rose Dunn Battles of Columbus, formerly of
Winona, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, at Oliver Chapel,
with burial following in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery near Duck Hill.
Visitation will be Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral
Home.
Mrs. Battles died at her residence in Columbus on Monday, December 19.
She was 56 years old.
Mrs. Battles, a homemaker, was the daughter of the late J. C. Dunn and the
late Kelly Rae Durham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her sons, Matthew and Casey McCollough; and a brother, Charles
Dunn.
Survivors include two daughters, Sissy Pumphrey of Columbus and Lora
McCollough of Idabel, OK; four sisters, Patricia Rogers of Maryville, TN,
Wanda Strickland of Heber Springs, AR, Diane Tilghman of Grenada, and
Glenda Dunn of Heber Springs, AR; one brother, Buddy Dunn of Winona;
seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
