Mary Lou Bennett

Funeral services for Mary Lou Bennett of Philadelphia will be at 2:00 p.m.
on Thursday, December 8, at Oliver Chapel with burial following in New
Hope Cemetery in Winona. Rev. Dan Howard will officiate the services.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 7, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at
Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bennett died of heart failure at Anderson Regional Medical Center in
Meridian on Monday, December 5. She was 82 years old.
Mrs. Bennett was the daughter of the late Jack and Viola Barrett Burchfield
and the widow of the late Ado Bennett. She was a retired employee of
South Central Bell and a member of First Baptist Church in Philadelphia.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one
sister, Louise till; and three brothers, J. B. Burchfield, Jimmy Burchfield,
and Wade Burchfield.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Villearreal and her husband,
Rufus, of Union; one brother, Floyd Burchfield of Havre de Grace, Maryland;
two grandchildren, Allan Howze of Chicago, Illinois, and Sherry Hughes of
Union; one great-grandchild, Harley Gilbert of Greenwood; and several
nieces and nephews.
